How to use Period Underwear

Hand Washing

- Before wearing, machine wash in cold or warm water at a maximum 30 degrees Celsius. Use mild detergent and a delicate setting. Hang to dry. Do not bleach, iron, dry clean or tumble dry.
- After wearing, we suggest immediately rinsing with cold water, squeezing gently, until the water runs clear. If you have DIVA Wash handy, lather a small amount into the gusset and rinse with cold water until the water runs clear. DIVA Wash is not a replacement for laundry detergent.
  
  Machine wash in cold or warm water at a maximum 30 degrees Celsius. Use mild detergent and a delicate setting. Hang to dry. Do not bleach, iron, dry clean or tumble dry.
- DIVA Period Underwear absorbs up to 9 regular size tampons worth of menstrual flow.
- To ensure your period underwear lasts, always follow DIVA Period Underwear care guidelines.
  
  For extra care, place your period underwear in a mesh delicates bag before laundering.
- Choosing to hand wash, while not necessary, can help extend the lifespan.
  
  Fill a small tub or sink with cold water and a small amount of mild detergent. Swish the detergent through the water to mix in and dissolve, and place your period underwear in the water.
  
  Gently massage and release a few times before leaving them to soak for 10-15 minutes. Reusable period underwear may need some time to saturate properly—thanks to the ultra-absorbent internal layering.

Getting Started with the DIVA™ Disc

- Step One.
  
  Sanitize your DIVA Disc
  Before using your DIVA Disc for the first time, sanitize it in a pot of boiling water for 5-10 minutes
  Tip: Place your DIVA Disc inside a metal whisk to keep it from touching the bottom of the pot.
- Step Two.
  
  How To Insert a Menstrual Disc
  Pinch the DIVA Disc lengthwise. Hold the folded disc between your thumb and forefinger with the anti-slip pull-tab facing out and away from your body. Push the opposite end of the pinched disc into your vagina horizontally. Then, tuck it in place behind your pubic bone.
- Step Three.
  
  When it’s time to empty your DIVA Disc
  Wash your hands. Using your index finger, untuck the front rim of your DIVA Disc from behind the pubic bone. Loop your finger into the anti-slip pull-tab and gently slide the DIVA Disc out, keeping it horizontal to avoid spills. Empty your flow into the toilet, sink, or shower.
- Step Four.
  
  Wash your hands, wash your DIVA Disc
  
  Before insertion and after removal, you should wash your DIVA Disc with DIVA Wash or a mild, artificial fragrance free, oil-free soap.
- Store it
  Always use the cotton pouch to store your DIVA Disc between cycles. Keep your DIVA Disc away from perfumes and never store it in an airtight container

Yes! The DIVA™ Disc is a great option for those with a low cervix. The anti-slip pull-tab will come in handy when it's time to remove your disc.

Ensuring the disc is inserted at the correct angle can help with disc placement with a low cervix.

Our zinc oxide infused gusset keeps you feeling fresh and comfortable all day. Zinc oxide is known for its antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, and comes from a naturally occurring mineral, zincite, that has safely been used for thousands of years. It is used in many of everyday products.

The DIVA™ Disc is one-size-fits-most. The disc's soft but firm rim and oval shape help it to stay in place during use and is designed to work with your anatomy for ultimate comfort.

The Diva Disc is designed to not empty during urination, however depending on anatomy or heaviness of flow, it may empty a bit during urination. That is totally normal to see some blood in the toilet. This is a sign that your pelvic floor muscles are doing their job!
