Let's Troubleshoot
Does something feel off with your DIVA™ Disc? You're not alone. Most first-time issues are super common, and usually easy to fix.
If your DIVA™ Disc is slipping out of place after insertion, it may not be positioned far enough behind the pubic bone. This can cause it to dislodge and slip down into the vaginal canal.
To prevent this from happening, try this: once the DIVA™ Disc is halfway in, use your thumb to guide the rim behind your pubic bone. Using your thumb gives you more control, ensuring the rim and tab are properly positioned.
If you're still experiencing movement, reach out to our team at support@divacup.com.
If you're noticing some leaking after inserting your DIVA™ Disc, don't worry—it usually means it's not quite in the right spot yet.
Depending on where your cervix sits, you might need to use a gently scooping (J-shaped) motion as you insert it, to make sure your cervix is comfortably sitting inside the disc. Once you think it's in place, you can slide a finger in and check for your cervix through basin. If you can feel it there, the DIVA™ Disc is properly positioned around your cervix.
Sometimes it also helps to hold it in place for a few seconds and let your pelvic floor muscles relax. That little pause can help the DIVA™ Disc settle properly.
To help keep things a little less messy during removal, try hooking your thumb onto the pull tab and using both your thumb and index finger for a better grip. As you take it out, gently angle it downward and go slow.
And don't forget—this gets easier with practice. The more familiar you become with your body and the movement, the more controlled it will feel each time.
Depending on your anatomy, the DIVA™ Disc may empty a little when you urinate, and that's totally normal. You might also notice a bit of blood in the toilet. but it's just your pelvic floor muscles doing what they're meant to do.
The Leakproof Shield™ is designed to help keep everything in place so the DIVA™ Disc doesn't fully empty or "dump" during use.
